Experience
I graduated from Northwestern University, and I majored in Theater and History. After graduation, I worked as an actor/director in Chicago for a few years. After deciding I wanted to try living abroad, I went to Prague and taught English for one year and eventually decided to come back to New Jersey to begin my career in teaching. My teaching career began as a History teacher at a middle school, and I then decided to return to school and get two master's degrees, one in Special Education and another in School Administration. Currently, I teach science and math to 4th grade students, and I also helped to organize the special ed. department of my school district. I believe that every child has the right to a solid education and all possess the ability to learn. This type of belief system has led me to be a compassionate tutor to every student I come in contact with. Based on my experience, History and Math are the two subjects I love tutoring students in. In addition, I love preparing students for standardized tests like the ACT and the SAT because of how important they are. When I'm not tutoring or working, my favorite things to do are to read, play sports, cook, and watch theater shows.
